As the clock struck 12 on January 1 and we set our intentions for another lap around the sun, no one could have predicted what 2020 had in store for us. With each day seemingly getting stranger and stranger, as we ventured further into the unknown, human connection is what kept us moving forward.
At a time when our social calendars are looking kind of empty, now more than ever, it’s important that we stay connected. That’s why, for our latest campaign, we wanted to introduce you to (or further familiarise you with) some of the talented personalities that make up the extended Thrills family.
Take a peek inside the homes and creative spaces of the people that we work with and who inspire us. And so here it is: Scarlett from the nation's capital own nostalgic garage band, Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers - No brief. No direction. Uncut and uncensored.

What's your full name? Scarlett Eve McHey
Where do you live? Canberra!
What do you do for work/how do you make a living? I'm a tattoo artist and play guitar in Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.
Other hobbies/interests? I like drawing, painting, roller skating and dog walking.
How have you improvised since the lockdown? I was actually in Melbourne when the lockdown started and had to extend my trip from a week to a month. I've been playing a lot of Sims and making apple crumble.
Are you still working? Nobody seems to want to get tattooed during a pandemic so I've been selling prints of my artwork and writing songs.
How has COVID-19 affected your work? The tattoo studio I work at has closed and all of my gigs have been cancelled :(
Pros to working from home? Pyjamas!
Cons to working from home? I'm easily distracted.
Favourite new way to pass time? Lots of walking.
Favourite old way to pass time? I used to op shop and go to gigs all the time.
Do you have any pets? Ringo is an 11-year-old blind staffie and Ziggy is a 6-year-old Bull Arab x Great Dane.
What's your favourite style and why? I love plaid so much. I like having to second guess whether I look too much like I'm dressed as a schoolgirl when I leave the house.
I like vintage and 90s style a lot! I love mini skirts and dresses and big t-shirts and fishnets. I'm a firm believer that Dr Martens can be worn with anything.
How would you describe your style? Like I can't decide if I want to be in L7 or the Spice Girls.
Favourite isolation styles? What have you been wearing around the house? Kmart trackies, sheep-face slippers, and my Thrills x WAAX RFS Fundraiser t-shirt.
